- Pit+Paddock celebrated its two-year anniversary this month with the return of its successful Cars+Coffee event at Turn 14 Distribution headquarters in Horsham, PA to a crowd of over 800 cars.
- Presenting partners Clutchmasters and Whiteline made the car meet possible by supplying the first 100 guests with complimentary Dunkin Donuts coffee and donuts.
- Whiteline staff was on-hand to pass out goodie bags to guests and host a raffle that totaled $900 off Whiteline suspension components on their retail website.
- Standout vehicles included Ryan Maretsky’s bi-turbo Mk4 VW R32, Billetworkz’s RB26-swapped Subaru WRX and Midnight Purple and boxer-powered Porsche 911, and Rome Built’s EG Civic drag car.
“Is it going to rain again?”, was the big question in my head leading up to the 2023 season opener of our Pit+Paddock Cars+Coffee at Turn 14 Distribution headquarters in Horsham, PA. Last year, we slimmed down our Cars+Coffee events calendar to just two, and as fate would have it, our Spring season opener and Autumn season closer were both condemned with rain. So, this year, I kept asking myself if mother nature would play nice or naughty. Luck was on our side as the clouds parted, the sun shined bright, and we welcomed more than 800 cars to our third annual Cars+Coffee season opener presented by Clutchmasters and Whiteline.
RECORD-SETTING ATTENDANCE
Now 800 cars sound like a lot and trust me, I was in disbelief when I counted up the number as well. But when the main T14 headquarters parking lot was full by the event’s start time at 9:00 am, then all the neighboring lots by 10:00 am, that accounted for all the spaces we had to work with (800+). And we still had folks circling around looking for parking! I truly must praise our staff for controlling the flow of traffic and ensuring every vehicle backed into each parking space promptly, because, yes, that’s a shit load of cars!
SHOW WORTHY LINEUP
And speaking of cars, that is the reason why most people came out because our VIP vehicle corral in the main driveway featured some very insane builds. Presenting partner Clutchmasters invited out one of their drag racing competitors, Jay Harr’s 8-second all-motor Honda Civic EG, which was arguably the fastest car to ever grace one of our events. In addition to the drag Civic were the Subaru-powered Porsche 911 and RB26-swapped WRX owned by local builder Austin Barnett. Another special guest included Jordan Canella’s Varis widebody STI from the Crown Speed Lab group, and finally, we were ecstatic to host one of our top 5 finalists from the Pit+Paddock x ENEOS SEMA Show Car Contest, Ryan Maretsky and his bi-turbo Mk4 VW R32.
The phenomenal weather, record-breaking attendance, and star-studded array of display cars were just some of the many reasons why our Cars+Coffee series continues to be our favorite way to celebrate car culture and bring communities together. If you’re into JDM, Euro, domestic, classic, truck, drift, and race, nearly every genre of the aftermarket industry was represented and saluted.
OUR GRATITUDE
We’d like to thank our presenting partner Whiteline who donated 200+ goodie bags with free swag for our early-rising guests, as well as giving away $900 in suspension product credit to three raffle winners. In addition, complimentary Dunkin Donuts coffee and donuts wouldn’t have been possible without Whiteline and Clutchmasters coming on board as our title partners.
Finally, we want to express our gratitude to everyone that came out and supported our third annual Cars+Coffee season opener. It was easily the best one to date at T14 HQ!
