• Formerly known as 100% Tuning, 100% Auto Live is one of the Netherlands’ largest car shows, drawing as many as 50,000 spectators.
• 402automotive has revamped the show in the last few years with higher quality builds, a car catwalk, and drift demonstrations.
• The caliber of Japanese builds is behind compared to the Euro scene but showing signs of hope, as demonstrated by several impressive Nissan and Toyota project cars.

Previously we highlighted ten of the finest Euro rides from the 100% Auto Live car show in Rotterdam, Netherlands. Without a doubt, Europe brings the heat when it comes to restoring and building Volvos, VWs, Audis, and BMWs. But how do they fare when it comes to the Japanese tuning scene?

Local photographer Jeroen Willemsen helped us walk the three-day show at Ahoy Rotterdam that often draws close to 50,000 spectators and gives us a glimpse into how some Dutch enthusiasts are modifying cars like the Skyline GT-R, Toyota Supra, and Nissan Silvia. Jeroen explained that while builders in the Euro community are hardcore about choosing quality brands, it doesn’t always crossover to the Japanese scene, as you’ll notice with off-brand body kits and wheels. Something we hope will get addressed and improved upon as the car culture in the Netherlands continues to evolve.

Nissan R34 Skyline
Originally a rear-wheel-drive and single-turbo GTT model, the owner of this R34 Skyline has gone to great lengths to make it look and perform like a GT-R with a 500hp RB26 engine swap. In addition, he’s thrown in some sweet parts like a Tommy Kaira digital dash, 19-inch Work Meister wheels, loads of Seibon carbon fiber, and the exterior is finished off in Lamborghini Grigio Estoque paint.

Nissan S13 Silvia
When we look at this S13, it feels like we’re seeing something straight outta Tokyo! The old-school JDM Silvia is as sweet as it gets, slammed, SSR XR4 wheels, and was imported from Japan two years ago, hence its undeniable authenticity.

Gertjan Lootens | Nissan S15 Silvia
It’s a showstopper with air suspension at first glance, but upon closer inspection, the knockoff wheels aren’t what they seem. Hopefully, the owner has some new shoes coming down the pipeline, especially after all the time and money he spent making his car stand out!

Leon Visser | 1994 Toyota Mk4 Supra
I don’t want to mess with this Mk4 Supra on the streets as the bay packs a 1,200hp 3.4-liter 2JZ stroker engine, along with AEM Performance Electronics goods to spice up the ignition.
