Before the crowds assembled, burnout pits roared to life, or a single badge was scanned, Turn 14 Distribution got a head start to kick off SEMA in a different gear.
In partnership with MBRP, Vossen Wheels, and Action Clutch, we took over the Arroyo Golf Club for an inaugural invite-only tournament designed to bring our partners, dealers, and vendor teams together in the best way possible: out of the booth and onto the green.
Fore the Win
Bragging rights weren’t the only thing up for grabs at Arroyo. While many eyes were locked on the custom-built trophy, complete with a functioning micro putting green, top-performing teams also had a shot at taking home YETI coolers, PGA Tour Superstore gift cards, digital range finders, and a spread of fresh golf gear.
But it wasn’t all fairways and flagsticks. After warming up on the MBRP-sponsored driving range, players loaded into carts and set out to tackle 18 holes, with a few added challenges. From Longest Drive to Closest to the Pin, each hole offered side quests that kept the competition lively.
To keep things even more interesting, each team was challenged to construct the largest wizard staff, a friendly free-for-all to build the tallest staff possible by taping together empty beer cans. For some, stacking aluminum quickly overtook the pursuit of par, as towering creations teetered in golf carts and laughter echoed across the fairways.
It was a reminder that while competition brings the crowd, camaraderie makes the memory.
Golf Gear Meets Show-Week Drip
No one left this tournament empty-handed. Each participant was handed a premium gift bag stuffed with Turn 14 Distribution, Vossen, MBRP, and Action Clutch branded golf essentials, with the added bonus of a $150 voucher to spend at the exclusive Travis Mathew pop-up shop on site. Whether on the course or cruising the halls of SEMA later in the week, everyone was geared up and looking sharp.
Setting the Tone for SEMA
The real win of the day? Connection. The SEMA Kickoff Golf Tournament wasn’t just about golf, it was about creating a relaxed, pressure-free space for meaningful connection between vendors and dealers, and memories made outside of the chaos at the convention center.
In a week packed with high-horsepower pressure, overbooked calendars, and sensory overload, this tournament was a breath of fresh air. By starting SEMA off with a morning in the sunshine, surrounded by industry peers, we reinforced what powers our business more than product—people.
From tee-off to trophies, the day was a reminder that the strongest partnerships often start with a simple handshake and a shared putt. And maybe a wizard staff or two.
