It’s not typical to find a bone-stock, untouched vehicle gracing the main page of news.turn14.com, but the Can-Am Maverick X3 XRS Turbo RR isn’t any typical vehicle. This purpose-built machine is designed to carve its way through any terrain without breaking a sweat, all while carrying its passengers in relative comfort. The Rotax ACE turbocharged triple puts upwards of 200 horsepower at the driver’s right foot, with adaptable suspension and a 72-inch-wide stance. This culminates in a solid foundation for our foray into powersports custom builds. 

With all this top-tier standard equipment, “Why change it?” is the question that runs through many minds. Can-Am delivered one of the best baseline off-road machines on the market today, which only shows the potential to push the X3’s performance even further. This elevated baseline performance provides the ideal canvas for a true race-inspired transformation that would be a prized addition to a lucky customer’s fleet. ALL IN ON POWERSPORTS

It’s no secret that Turn 14 Distribution is doing more than dipping our toes into the powersports world. We dove in, and what better way to reinforce our commitment to UTV and powersports performance than by showcasing our partnerships in those segments in one badass machine?

Many have banded together in the cause to elevate the Maverick X3 XRS Turbo RR, with Bilstein leading the charge as the project’s title sponsor. Like Turn 14, Bilstein is also flexing its history in the automotive industry and off-road expertise, but to deliver competition-level damping to the powersports industry. 

It still takes a village to build a dune-smashing SxS, and Turn 14 Distribution is backed by a powerhouse of official and presenting brands helping to unlock this Can-Am’s full potential. Precision fabrication supplies will be handled thanks to Vibrant Performance, while MBRP gives the Maverick more attitude and improved exhaust flow. Lighting the way is the combined efforts of Baja Designs and sPOD, along with XKGlow, providing crisp interior lighting. DragonFire Racing is stepping up to keep the passengers and the Maverick’s body safe, with Method Race Wheels and Tensor Tires, lacing up the proper off-road footwear for this cross-country athlete.

Complementing the core build is a deep lineup of performance partners supplying critical systems throughout the vehicle, including ARP, Brian Crower, Dynojet, Maxima, EBC Brakes, Rhino USA, K&N, Superwinch, Rugged Radios, and Odyssey Battery. With this support, every part of the Maverick is being upgraded for speed, strength, and survival in the sand.

DESERT POWER

This Maverick’s final form will make its public debut at the 2025 Sand Sports Super Show, where it will be revealed in full competition trim in DragonFire’s booth. And like the machine itself, the location isn’t a coincidence. It’s the perfect place to showcase a race-ready SxS in the heart of Southern California’s powersports scene. Following its debut, the Maverick will continue its tour with appearances at both the SEMA Show and AIMExpo, giving fans and industry insiders across the country a chance to see the build up close.

To bring this build to life, Turn 14 Distribution has partnered with One Offroad, an Arizona-based shop rooted in desert racing. Its fabricators, builders, and engineers understand what it takes to survive the harshest terrain and come out faster on the other side. Every weld, bracket, and system on the vehicle is being touched by a team living in the Southwest’s silt and sweat.

BUILT TO RUN

This Maverick isn’t being built for the showroom floor but engineered to race. With real testing planned on the same terrain it’s meant to conquer, the build represents more than just top-tier parts coming together. It’s a mission to prove that product, preparation, and execution can win on and off the course.
